I wanted to use some elements from fantasy genres, since I saw that some characters are based on an animal or on something mythical. One of my favourite things about fantasy was dragons, as generic as it sounds. So, I wanted my character to be based around being a vessel of one, but I wanted to change the element into lightning.
Creative Strategy
"This project asked us to design our own superhero. From using the principles and exercises of human anatomy, we had to think about what kind of superhero we wanted to design, how they would look, what their powers were, if they had any. What gadgets they use, etc."
The Brief
My character has a blue outfit with yellow highlights to show his lightning power, instead of the usual fire power. I wanted to make him generate lightning and make it have a glowing effect. The dynamic poses would show how serious he is getting when confronted.
